I like Adobe FireWorks. Does all these (create PNG, allows edit, compresses). I use it for all my Graphics for web and FMP.

I consider myself "graphically challenged" - one of those kinds of people who can't draw a straight line with a ruler. So I do as little as possible when it comes to manipulating graphics, whether they be for the Web or a FileMaker application.
That all being said, I've found Acorn ( http://flyingmeat.com/acorn/ ) to be very helpful. Powerful enough to do what I need to do (convert images from one format to another, resize or crop them, etc), yet simple enough that even I can use it. Highly recommended! (I turn to "pros" for help with the more advanced stuff.)
Also, when it comes to color schemes, prior to FileMaker 12, I found myself turning to the online version of Color Schemer ( http://www.colorschemer.com/online.html ). Simply enter in a color (either as RGB or a hex value), and Color Schemer will display a pallete of complimentary colors. (FileMaker 12's themes make designing really interfaces super easy.)
I am a fan of Matt Petrowsky's Theme Studio...for a number of reasons.
Outside of the great layouts, and new tweak feature, and Icon creation tool (basically combining 2 icons to make another)...it's really easy to place my own themes, color schemes, objects, etc in there and use them quickly later. Along with the color swapping feature, it's easy to import a layout, swap colors and paste the newly colored layout back into my file.
While FM Go is great and native, it has performance issues and a well designed IWP or other web based app can perfom many task quickly.
AND ANDROID is supported using a simple app creator tool like APPGEYSER. Design a nice home page in the Filemaker/web/iwp-home.html and it can point to any numner of fm solutions.
APPGEYSER creates an Android app with custom icon, etc. and then generates qr code for immediate download to any droid device.
Take a look... take advantage of your dev effort.
BTW: I am not part of APPSGEYSER...
Is there a iPad-Phone tool that generates apps that can be placed on the desktop and open fm solutions?
I think there are one or 2 others also...
