I'm building this database for FileMaker Go in 12 and I was hoping to limit the container field data entry options. Currently tapping on the container field in Go will give you all the options: Camera, Audio, Signature, Photos, Music, Files. My question is: Is there a way to limit those options per container field? The idea is to only allow audio in the audio container field, and images in the image container field and so on...
I haven't tried this, but have you looked at the Insert File script step? Disallow entry in Browse mode into the container field, and then use Insert File and a separate button to configure the options. Don't know if this will work on Go, but the script step says it's iOS compatible.
Might be worth a shot.
Thanks for the reply.
My problem is that I would like to use the UI the iPhone provides for inserting data in the container field but limit the options on this UI. Maybe I am thinking of this wrong, but your method seems more for controlling what goes into the field. I am looking for limiting the options for capturing the data that goes into the field prior to even capturing the data with the iPhone/iPad.
I will certainly give the suggestion thing a try.
Thank you Beatrice.
