Looks like we share the same problems and considerations. For me, a grafic Calendar is the heart of my administrations-solution for therapists. It's based on many relations and due to some bugs and insufficiencies in FM 12, the performance is not as it should be.
One concept is to build up the hole site with a webviewer. Though I would have to dive deep into html- and CSS-programming. Somehow I faile to build some href's to call-up FM-Scripts.
I will attend the FM-Congress in Salzburg. FM 12 is just the first move into new frameworks with CSS, SQL and probabely more to come. I'm confident that those steps will come closer to our needs.
This would be the hard way with a lot of footwork.
That Reactor PlugIn still exists!!
I had a demoversion. Speed and performance is amazing!!!
I guess there's some PHP under the hood.
Could be that I decide to choose the easy way by purchasing Reactor for a fortune of $2'499.- to have a fast and reliable solution.
I belive that both, webviewer or reactor (anyway!), would solve yours problem also.
Keep on mind that Reactor, as every PlugIn, will not work on the iOS.
Digital Fusion is definitely still in business. There just haven't been a ton of need to update the plugin. It does what it does. Basically giving you a channel to manipulate data via the web viewer. You can create a ton of customized stuff if you know the web side of development.
Have you already done projects with Reactor?
I guess there's a lot to learn about that Black Box Builder we'll need for customizations.
I haven't. I've done mainly in-house development, and we haven't needed it yet. I have see some pretty wild examples in the past. I'll see if I can dig up any examples I've seen.
If you're interested, you can see how to tie charts like this into filemaker with our Interactive Charts demo, which you can get for free here:
These charts are also compatible with iOS devices and FM Go, if the charts don't use flash (most of the ones in our example don't).
Thanks for the response. I look forward to looking into the demos.
