Is this a new error - that is, was printing working on this PC before and this just started? or is this a fresh install of FileMaker on this PC?
What version of FileMaker are you using?
When printing from the script, is there an error number?
Does it work on a different computer on the same network/printer?
Any software updates recently? Bonjour, printer driver, other?
More information is needed.
I have seen this issue. It's been discussed in other forums, too...
Here's what they suggested:
I removed the printer drivers completely (including any temp files left over & for ALL printers installed)
Removed the Virtual USB ports
Rebooted the machine
Re-Installed the printer driver
I haven't found a solution that has worked yet in one instance. Work arounds are the print to a PDF file first...then print the PDF or to print to a different printer.
May be a print driver incompatibility with FileMaker...so upgrading to a newer print driver for that printer may help.
Others have suggested putting the printer driver in "Vista" compatibility mode.
Hope that helps.

Thanks. That looks like good advice and the forum answer is worth a try. I'll pass this on to our infrastructure guys to see what they think.
I've also remedied this issue by running my runtime and FileMaker in compatibility mode - this almost always happens on Win 7/Home Edition btw.
This is a new problem and is hosted on an XP thin client network.
The infrastructure experts have tried the printer driver fix with no success but it does look like an incompatibility between Filemaker and the (fairly specific) build on the PC.
