Can you give a little more background? Is this on Windows 2003 Server or on XP? Is it because a client can not connect to your FMS? From inside the network or from the internet?
Out of the box, all ports are open on the machines, unless your IT department uses a group policy to close them out, then they will need to be opened on the machine.
However if this is for connectivity through the internet then it is more likely going to the port on your router that needs to be opened and forwarded, not the port on the computer itself.
