Assuming that the php file doing the handling is setting the proper mime type for the file being served, this could be more of an html question... if it's an audio or video, you might look at http://jplayer.org/ for a way to play multimedia in a web browser... this can be made to work with html 5 and is backwards compatible with older browsers.
Thank you for your reply Mike!
I went to the jplayer.org. download the zip file, unzip the file, but i can not install it as a plug in to my brower, or how to use this ? and why the quick time can not play my video ?
I feel like this should be the problem of how the php talk to the filemaker database rather than the plug in ? or how the video being handled in php & filemaker relations ?
I finally got it! I am new to this CWP with PHP. I use the sample file.
The code should be like this:
<tr><th>Audio or Video</th><td> <?php echo '<embed src="'.$fm->getContainerDataURL($record->getField('Cover Image')) .'">'; ?></td></tr>
1. make the container field: optimize for Interactive Contents (PDF , mp3, etc).
2. insert as Audio/Video
Hope it helps !
