This type of a formula via auto-entry to the Field "Audit_Log" can get you the data at the record level within its FileMaker table. But to get it into another table or a file you will need to use a script.
Get ( AccountName ) & " | " &
Get ( ActiveFieldName ) & " | " &
Get ( ActiveFieldContents ) & " | " &
Get ( CurrentTimeStamp ) & "¶"
& Audit_Log ) ; [ First_Name ; Middle_Name ; Last_Name ; Date_of_Birth ; Date ; Salutation ] )
Also make sure "Do not replace existing value of field" is "Unchecked"
It's a filemaker file that demo's the technique. Save the zip file a location and unzip the filemaker file found within. Then open the file to examine the demo.
THANK YOU for your immediate reply....
I am using Windows 7 and FMp Adv. 12.
As you said I saved the file and converted the Filemaker file into v 12 and placed the file into the folder where all unziped file lives. Now which file I should open in this folder to start the video. I can open the Filemaker file, but that does not start the video.
I really appreciate your help.....
It's a demo file, not a video. Its fully unlocked so you can go all through it and learn the method.
Oh, I am sorry I thought it was a video file.
Now I got it ...........
Thank you very much.....
This would be great if it was built into the table in some way and we could export it separately.
1000000000% I agree with you
