Full screen video blank, audio only

Question asked by brucemccallum on Oct 7, 2012

I've built a content management database for videos. I've found that I can no longer play the videos using the fullscreen button on the player. All the other player controls work fine (Back 30 seconds, play/pause and volume), but when I go to full screen I get a black screen and audio only. All controls work on the fullscreen player. This happens on both machines - MacPro and MacBook Pro, both running OSX 10.8.2 and FMP12v2.

While I was testing the db initially the fullscreen feature on the player definitely worked. The only change I can think of between initial testing and now was updating the OS but I can't remember if this upgrade was from Lion to Mountain Lion or whether it worked in Mountain Lion initially and then didin't after updating to 10.8.1 or 10.8.2.

Is anyone having a similar problem?

UPDATE 29/10

It seems that this problem definitely has something to do with Mountain Lion. I was able to test the db in question on a machine running 10.7.5 and Filemaker 12.0v3.
