Is it wise to run filemaker on a Separate server than the Mac Mail server? Are there conflicts, and are there many performance issues?
Also what is your ultimate Mac server set-up for
1) Redundancy - seriously high up-time required
2) Performance. I use PHP and slow loading websites are not useful.
Thanks for the answers
If you want high uptime you need to use a dedicated machine for FMS.
Performance is relative to the load you put on either task (FMS and mail) but in general it is not a good idea to combine both tasks on one machine. Both are disk i/o intensive.
