I have a FileMaker plugin that uses QuickTime to play H.264 video in the FM window. In upgrading from Windows XP to Windows 7 with FM Pro 11.0v2, I noticed that the video playback is now choppy and uneven, with FileMaker using up 100% of one core of the CPU. It did not do this before (smooth playback and relatively low CPU usage), and does not do this when I turn on XP Compatibility mode by right-clicking on the FileMaker executable and going to Properties->Compatibility.
This happens on other computers as well, so it is not just mine.
Are there differences in how FileMaker operates in Windows XP versus Windows 7 that could be causing this? Perhaps plugin threads are handled differently, etc.
