Email container field or Keep Formating in Body

Discussion created by landdog49 on Oct 31, 2012

I want to email a PDF or jpeg file of a registration card in the body of an email. When it is put into a container file only the file name arrives in the email. I don’t want to use an attachment because some of the people complain that they can’t open the file. They are in their 70’s and 80’s and do good just to check their email once a week.

How can I email the contents of a container file?

Or how do I recreate it in a text field. When I email it in a text field none of the formatting arrives in the email. The top 3 lines are not centered or bold type. The line “Address: ___________________” is wrapped to the next line because it is too long.

Also, how do you get text entered using the Text Tool in the layout to appear on an email?

I don’t remember having these problems in FM 8-10 when I used to send out emails.
