    Filtering Value Lists By User

    Jason_Farnsworth

Is there was way to filter a value list based on user Settings?

I have a long value list that handles many users needs. I would like to filter out all other users items inorder to shorten the list for each user.

      Is that possible?

          Jason -

What about a related table based on a field that calculates Get ( AccountName ) (unstored)? Put two fields in it: The account name, and the item associated with that name, then make a relationship between the current table's Get ( AccountName ) field and the account name field in the table where the value list items live.

            Mike,

I am trying to process what you have suggested.

You are suggesting that I create a new Table with only two fields in it

            (1) Account name

            (2) Item associated with the account name

Add the new table to the relational table and relate the Current tables (Get AccountName) field and the account name field in the table where the value list items live.

I would need to add a new field to the current table for an Account Name and make it a calculation based on Get (AccountName) have it un-stored so it stay relative to the current user.

The the relationship is tagged between the to account names

I will give it a try and see what happens.

            Thanks for your help
