Default Font for New Lields and Layouts

    user12837

I use FM 11 Advanced on both Windows and OS X.

At one point FMP on both platforms always used Verdana for new fields and layouts. Now it always defaults to Arial instead.

I've configured Preferences to use Verdana. What settings am I missing?

      Thanks,

      Tom

It’s not so tough really. In Layout Mode, click on a blank spot on your layout, so that nothing is selected. Now set your fonts and styles to be exactly what you want. C’est tout! You have just changed the default styles; new fields and text objects will now look like that.

This is the cool one. Put a field on your layout. Now change its font and styles to be whatever you want. And here’s the ticket: While holding the Command key (or Control in Windows) click that field.

That’s it. You just changed the default font and styles to match that field. How cool is that?

We really need the ability to set proper design preferences for the solution

This has been a sore point for many years
