In Table View is there a simple way to delete a range of records. Shift + Left last record click doesn't do anything. Same question for List view.
Menu Records "Delete all records..." or "Delete found records..." depending on wether it is showing all or a found set of records.
What if I want to select records quickly on a table view, where there really is no common attribute of the records to do a find on. Just Ctrl+click and delete, not possible?
Add a field that indicates that the record is flagged for delete... find all flagged, delete found set

(on Macintosh, this is CommandShiftE) <http://www.filemaker.com/12help/html/keys_mac.28.5.html#1027823>
WARNING! be very aware that there is NO request to confirm. The record is immediate removed along with cascading related record deletes (if any)!
yes! this is my preferred method. An only highest admin privileges can perform the actual delete.
If you use this "delete_flag" in finds and filters the actual records can remain, but be hidden from view.
Beverly and Kris, thanks for the help DeleteFlag seems like the way to go.
