Well ... how do you want them to work?
Well the "New" button has to create a new record in another table while the "Abort" button should function like the standard "Cancel" button in other programs.
Take a look at the function Get ( LastMessageChoice )
This used in an "if" script step will test if you pushed "New" (first button) or "Abort" (second button).
place just after the Show Custom Dialog script step
Show Custom Dialog ... If ... Get ( LastMessageChoice ) = 1 ... steps to create new record ... Else // by default if any button other than 1, assume abort ... steps to abort ... End IF
It worked !
Thanks a bunch Beverly you saved my day
