the way I solve this is with three fields:
1. an column number assigned to each salesperson
2. a repeating field something like this
If ( Extend ( ColumnNumber ) = Get ( CalculationRepetitionNumber ) ;
Extend ( SalesAmount ) ;
3. a summary field of the repeating field. be sure to select "options" when defining the field and then choose "summarize repetitions individually". Put this field on the report.
Hope that helps. I keep this calculation on hand for myself because I can never remember where the Get(CalculationRepetitionNumber) function is!
I am not sure exactly how to implemnt what you suggested. Do I add a calculation field setting it to one of the three salesman, and then the second field??? That is where I get lost.
