I've Just tryed and it works fine...
Can you be more specific with the issue you're experimenting?
Thanks for your answer. That's interesting.
Here's a more detailed description:
I have two tables: A and B.
I have a layout based on the basetable occurrence of A. On that layout I have placed a global container field of table B. When I try to insert data (photo, video, file, whatever, ...) I only get a greyed out screen (the standard one of FMGo) with no function. However, when I place a global container field of table A on the layout it works fine. The global container of B seems to behave like a non-global field.
In FMP it works as it should. You can insert data into the global field – no matter where it "lives".
PS.: I have this issue only with global container fields. Global text or number fields work as expected.
I've done the same thing you're trying and it works both on iPad and FMPro.
iOS 6.01 and last FMGo
Have you tryed to KILL the FileMkaer Go App?
Can you post a screenshot of the "greyed out screen": I can't figure it...
I found a way to insert data. Tap on the field and hold till the "Paste" menu comes up. Paste something in, then delete it, then you have all options available. Not very practical and still strange behavior ;-)
One more update: if you apply an "onObjectEnter" trigger with an insert step (even insert text) to the field all options are available.
Thanks for the tip, I've been having the same issue.
