You have to enable Java for your Web browser: http://www.java.com/en/download/help/enable_browser.xml
You're better off with Java 6

OS 10.8.2. Java 6 did not work after last Apple 'upgrade'. FMP says to upgrade to 7 to fix the problem, but it did not!
FM is an Apple company. You would think that they would coordinate.
Java 7 is from Oracle. Apple discontinued development of their Mac OS X-specific Java version.
You might try the following: Open the Java Control panel from System Preferences. In Tab General ..., click Button "View ..." under "Temporary Internet Files ...". Remove the Admin Console Starter there. Download the Admin Console again from http://yourserveraddress:16000/

I don't see anything under Temp internet files. How do I download the Admin Console? All I see :
Link is given above. Replace "yourserveraddress" with either the IP address or the DNS name of your FMS server. If you have a two-machine or three-machine deployment, take the address of the master machine which hosts your databases.
