I am doing some tweaks to a solution built by another developer. And am now trying to make sense of a technique used.
If I am in table "A' and want to know how many related records there were in table "B" I would create a calculation in Table "A" = count(tablea_TABLEB|key|::foreignkey).
The other developer has an unstored calc in every table = Get(FoundCount). When in Table "A" they would simply show the foundcount calc via the relationship. It returns the correct answer.
So the question is: is using Get(FoundCount) this way a reliable alternative to counting occurrences of primary/foreign keys?

Actually I retract " It returns the correct answer." Sometimes it returns the right answer - depends where you ask the question from.
