FM 12 as client for MS Word and Excel 2011 on mac

I have started using FM Pro 12 Advanced as a replacment for my simple MS Access on Windows. Main reason for the shift was FM Go on Ipad, ideal for what I do in the field, secondarily was disillusionment with MSoft after some 23 years of loyalty..

I am migrating ok but am disappointed that Office 2011 is unable to read FMpro 12 files nativly. Only conectivity I have found is FM's own ODBC drivers enabling me to pull data into Excel with MS Query.

There seem to be no other Spreadsheets or Word processors that can directly access data in FIlemaker 12.

Anyone have any ideas on possible solutions please?

I don't think you will find a tool to read FM data files natively other than the various FM product line items: Go, Pro, and Advanced.

However, the ability to export FM data to formats which other software can read is well supported, the most common of which are XLS, Tab-separated text, and Comma-separated text, which can also be read by Bento and most other DB software products.
