See the section in the IWP guide about using a custom home page.
Then the trick to getting into a database with guest session (while other IWP enabled accounts are active) is to create another file that has a script that runs on open to open your database with guest privileges automatically.
As long as a file has guest priviliges ONLY enabled, you will skip the login prompt and go directly into a guest IWP session. So a second file with only guest enabled will pass those guest credentials to your file when it's called.
Thank you for the quick assistance Mike. I created the other FMPro dB but I don't know which command to use to open the main database. I tried Open File and selected the Main dB as a FileMaker Data Source. Then I attached that script to OnFirstWindow Trigger. I am uncertain how the path can be specified. I managed to open the Welcome (Transition) database but it failed to automatically open the main database. Do you mind giving me more details on how to accomplish your recommendation? I thank you in advance!
Don't bother with the script triggers, but change the file options to run a selected script on open in File->File Options... then select a script that opens your other file, file references should be relative, just "filename.fp7" for example. If it's on the same database server (which it has to be) then it should open.
The welcome dB still doesn't do the handover to the main database. I am providing below a link to the welcome database Admin/No password.
The IP in the path to the other database is the internal IP at the University since it is looking for it in the same network of the server. It is not a valid public IP.
I didn't find a direct way to set a File Option to execute a script other than the trigger.
I even added to the script an option to close the current file (Welcome file) to no effect.
I guess my FM programming skills have become really dull over the last few years!
Thank you for your assistance!
