I am trying to display fields from a related table after looking up on part of that record:
In a 'support ticket' layout, I would like to select a tech name from a drop down list to attache to that support ticket record. I have a separate table of tech names with a few fields for that tech record such as phone ext, email, etc.
After I do that selection of a tech name in the 'support ticket' layout with a drop down list, I would like a few fields to auto display the other 'looked up' data (the phone, email, etc) for the tech i selected.
I cannot figure out how to do this, or even what that type of lookup is called. A portal will not work I think becuase I do not want to display rows of all the techs.
THe techID from each table described is related.
Any tips on how to accomplish this would be apprecuated.
