Probably need to find a way to get all of the JSON in a field and then parse it out. Why the requirement for no plugins?
I have no idea about plug-in. the user has no IT unit support (a small business).
They must maintain the system in the future.
I just want them to maintain it eaisly.
but store itto a filed sound like a bad idea. I look take more time to deal the complex solution.
If it was true. I will try to use plugin to resolved the issue.
any suggestion plugins?
If you're open to using a plugin, my preference is the Troi URL plugin as it doesn't have dependencies (Java) like other plugins.
Depending on the web service, if you're just trying to "get" data and not perform an update, you should be able to use the Insert From URL Command to get the JSON data. Insert From URL is not so elegant as it will throw a dialog (on long requests) even though the don't show dialog box is set.
ex, if the URL is simple like this it will just work.
Here's a link for parsing JSON data.
