Check the field validations. Most likely there is a field that requires a value that you are not providing with the import.

and it is dumb that no log is generated

It does not say anything about what the errors were.
Is there a way to see a log of these errors?
Thanks, guys... changing the field Validation worked. Pain in the butt to figure out which field to turn off validation, then turn it back on again after import.
Is Filemaker listening in...? How hard would it be to create a log file?
