I'm currently running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit with an installation of FileMaker Pro 11 Advanced. I have placed all of my plugins in the extensions directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\FileMaker\FileMaker Pro 11 Advanced\Extensions) and have not had an issue, they all show up.
Is it one particular plugin you are having an issue with or multiple?
It's probably a permissions problem. You can put the plugins in the user's folder instead:
Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\[User Name]\Local Settings\Application Data\FileMaker\Extensions\
Windows Vista / 7: \users\[User Name]\AppData\Local\FileMaker\Extensions
Mac OS: /Users/[User Name]/Library/Application Support/FileMaker/Extensions
I'm running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit and FileMaker Pro 11. I have placed several plug-ins in C:\Program Files (x86)\FileMaker\FileMaker Pro 11\Extensions but they didn´t show up. Then I tried with Troi_File_Plugin.fmx and that was accepted but not the other four. ??
Yes, I tried that as well and as before FileMaker accept the Troi_File_Plugin.fmx also when it´s located here, but not the other four.
Does the plugins have to be compiled especially for 64 bits?
FM11 is 32-bit only, so the x86 folder is the right one.
I'm not saying it is the answer but i had a similar issue with a plugin in the past. I spoke with the support dept of the plugin and they couldnt duplicate the behavior. Turned out that i needed to install the Visual Studio 2010 Redistributable and then the plugin showed up, they were not able to duplicate as they had VS installed on the machine.
Perhaps contact the developers of the plugins in question to see if there is anything else needed.
I contacted the developer of the plugin and they upgraded it. Now it functions! There is obvious that the combination Windows 7 64bit pro / FileMaker Pro is more fastidious than the 32 bit versions of Windows 7.
Thank you for all the help!
