I have a table of Invoice Items with fields (amongst others) of Date of Service, a Description, Price, Quantity, and Subtotal. I have an Invoice Print layout based on Invoice Items.
The client would like to see the Invoice Items sorted by Date of Service but only display the Date of Service for the first Invoice Item of the set.
I have it now with a sub-summary based on Date of Service and the date field in the subsummary. But that's an extra line for each Date and makes the Invoices longer than they "need to be". An alternative would be to have the Date of Service field in the body for each record, but that "doesn't look clean".
I'm thinking conditional formatting is the way to go here, keeping the field in the body but hiding it for all but the first record. I can't for the life of me figure out how to do that conditionally though.
The solution really should be layout/calc based and not scripted.
