Formatting portal if it has no records

    Lukian

I am trying to design a portal that shows the text "No Items" in the first line if there are no related records. Is there a setting or tool that allows this?

      Thanks.

Place the words "No Items" below the field on the first line.  Place a transparent background field on top of the "No Items" and make it a conditionally formatted field that turns the background white when the field is not empty.  The white will cover up the "No Items" when there is something in the field, yet be visible when there is nothing in the field.

I was going to suggest a piece of text with conditional formatting on it. Test to see if the relationship is valid to the portal. If it is valid, make the text invisible. Not valid, make it visiable.

You can even blend Taylor and David's ideas by having an unfilled Text Object that you drop off the theme features of then use conditional formatting to Add the features you want when you do have data.

You can cover /surround the entire Portal so that users don't even know it is there and it impossible to edit while being covered.
