Is there a reason you are using a printer driver to create a PDF via the print process rather than using the script step
"Save Records as PDF"
to create your PDF file?
There are two reasons:
a) sometimes the pdf driver generates a better document than the
FileMaker pdf algorithm.
b) this gives the user the choice of print versus pdf (and pdf
settings). Otherwise, I have to script extra dialogs and complication
for the choice.

My experience with printer drivers is that the print dialog relies on the OS settings rather than any FM settings, so scripting the process in FM seems like the most reliable way to make the process work every time.
