It's always important that if you think you've found a bug, to report it. It did take filemaker a while to address the windows XP PDF bug, but it was fixed due to the community reporting that it was an issue (thank goodness they didn't just give the old "we don't support XP" excuse!)
Hopefully you were able to calm your customer down.
Our workaround was to use PDF printers (Acrobat Pro, PrimoPDF, CutePDF, NitroPDF) in lieu of the "save as PDF" script step in the meantime. Always good to have alternatives.
I think he was spoofing the typo in the release notes ("PFD" rather than "PDF").
Wanted to know where the 'F' in 'PDF' is!
However, still sore from the XP pain and cost so there was a serious side - this was reported to Filemaker by us and others 2 versions back.
