I create a "backUp copy" at file shoutdown on FM GO. It saves a copy of the main solution. Is there a way to write a script step that deletes the old back-up cop(ies) automatically?
Thank in advance for any hints or help
Thre's no way that I know of to modify the "files on the device" file manager in FM GO through scripting or other methods. This has been frustrating me as well for versioning/update deployment.
Interested to see what the rest of the community here has come up with to manage this, but I don't know of anything to delete files out of the FM GO folder from within FM GO.
Mark, this is fairly easy to do. If you export a zero found set and specify the name of the export file to the name of the file you want to delete, the export will blast the file right off the iPad. No file is created since there are no records in the export.
was it really that easy all along?
Thanks for that great tip!
Another forrest for the trees example.
I believe since at least FMP 5.

The technique John came up with helps distribute new versions of a solution 'replacing' the existing one on the iOS device. Really, really handy.
Thanks, John (shakes the guy's hand virtually )
