Why are my email Attachments resulting as Text when scripting emails via a Container?

I am having difficulty finding my error when scripting a Send Email script to my email-client, MAIL, on my Mac (OS 10.8). I have read a number of the Discussions here online and it appears I've been scripting correctly, but the Attachment is coming in as Text only, instead of the Picture or PDF I attach...

In my script I am:

1. Setting the image (or PDF), from my "Container" field (Container), to the $Variable Path, which successfully saves the Image to my Solution's directory folder (as "$Attachment") which is an Image or PDF.

2. My script then creates the email correctly and calls the same Path to the "$Attachment" file, placing the Attachment at the end of the email, as desired.

However, when I click on the Attachment, in MAIL, the image comes up as Text only (gobble-d-gook) instead of as an Image.

Any insights on what I may be doing wrong?

Thank you very much for your time.
