This is more of a general question that technical. Whats the best resource to learn PHP geared towards Filemaker?
Todd Duell has published a guide for learning the API (http://www.amazon.com/FileMaker-API-PHP-Todd-Duell/dp/0615434681). It's quite good, in my opinion, although I don't necessarily agree with all his recommended practices. If you have your developer license of Server, the tutorials that come with it are excellent.
For learning PHP itself, you can go to the PHP site (http://us.php.net/manual/en/index.php) and read through the manual. It's more of a reference, but invaluable for learning the various functions. There's also the w3schools basic tutorials on PHP (http://www.w3schools.com/php/default.asp); they offer a stepwise introduction.

Codecademy has a good starting course for PHP as well
That's a good list, Tim. Nicely done.
In addition to those already mentioned, FileMaker Server actually ships with some great tutorials and example code.
Find your FileMaker Server installation folder and go to ./FileMaker Server/Examples/PHP, and also ./FileMaker Server/Documentation/PHP API Documentation/.
There is also a VTC video tutorial at http://www.vtc.com/products/FileMaker-and-PHP-Foundations-Tutorials.htm [shameless plug.. sorry]
http://www.lynda.com is also a great resource with lots of PHP videos.
I've looked at some of the Lynda.com stuff on PHP, and it is a good base, but they don't have much in the way of PHP + FMP. The excellent FMP courses on there just touch on it breifly without going in depth into the PHP side of things. I'd love it if they did one focused specifically on FMP CWP with PHP. Gotta see how many TLAs I can put in that sentence!
That is why I recommended the VTC tutorial. It is for those wanting to learn how to use PHP with FileMaker, and it's very indepth.
