    Google Chrome and web publishing - FMSA11v5

    ndelacretaz

      Following the well-documented and painful issue with FMSA11 and the latest Java release (which FM tech support very kindly helped me repair), I'm noticing some wild discrepancies as far as stuff I'm publishing to the web. Mac-based Firefox 22.0 and Safari 6.0.5 will link up to this PHP form of ours:

      http://72.48.142.210/OnlineSubmForm_2012/home.php

      ...but Google Chrome 28.0.1500.71 (up to date at this writing) will not...

      And I haven't even begun testing Windows-based browsers.

      Is there any fix/advice out there?

          Hi

          I checked ou the link the other night and Safari was fine. I didn't have time for more...

          Totday I checked out the link in all 3 browsers and the page looks empty. When I check out the raw source it only has the first XHTML statement with nothing else.

          I would say you have a syntax error in your code... and the only way to know what error is to see the code itself. I would look for something that is opened but not closed or a square bracket where a curly one should be etc... could be anything....  but I would look at the second line of the code for starters...

          You can send me the file if you wish...

          - Lyndsay

            The page even doesn't load. You should check your server.

              And please post your code here in the forum.

                Thank you both for your input, Lyndsay and Martin.  I'm starting to think something's amiss in my FileMaker Server > Web Publishing folder following the 11v5 install / Java fix process.  I haven't made any changes to the page code since I posted this over a year ago...  We've had router/network issues that I'm suspecting now, as well.  At any rate, here's the code:

                <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd">

                <?php

                    /**

                    * FileMaker PHP Site Assistant Generated File

                    */

                    require_once 'fmview.php';

                    require_once 'FileMaker.php';

                    require_once 'error.php';

                    $cgi = new CGI();

                    $cgi->storeFile();

                    $cgi->store('-link', 'Home');

                    $userName = $cgi->get('userName');

                    $passWord = $cgi->get('passWord');

                    $fm->setProperty('database', 'SubmissionForm');

                  I think I've found the issue, but not 100% sure.  My web server logs show numerous errors related to FileMaker PHP on port 80.  A few examples:

                  [Sun Jul 14 07:07:06 2013] [error] [client 172.16.1.254] PHP Deprecated:  Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in /Library/FileMaker Server/Web Publishing/publishing-engine/php/snow leopard/lib/php/FileMaker/Implementation/FileMakerImpl.php on line 98

                  Going to research...
