Connection being dropped....

Hello. I am new to Filemaker so forgive my ignorance. We are running FileMaker Server version 9 and some of our clients are running FileMaker version 11. The client OS varies from OS 10.4 to current. The newer OS versions that have Filemaker 11 keep dropping the connection to the server. I have verified that network connectivity is good and this is happening on multiple MACs. I am not sure what else to check. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
