any iOS device can take a screen snap shot (it's built into to OS)
To capture a screen shot:
- Press and hold the menu button (the main button below the screen).
- While the menu button is held down, press the power/lock button (the switch on the top edge of the device).
Note: On a Mac, i t's also worth while getting an App called "Reflector" (costs money, but it's handy), what this allows you to do is display the iOS screen on your Mac via Airplay. Capturing Mac screens and then placing them into real Word Processing programs is easy.
I just push 'em together... LOL
I have an older version of Reflector which I have used from time to time to make up help files and document the systems I build.
Does the latest version allow you to put the home button on the RHS of a Landscape orientation? That really annoys me about the version I have....
I know it is a free upgrade... I should just do that, I suppose. :-)
Peter, Hemantpatel said he already knows about the iOS screenshot:
I know one can take screenshots by holding Power button and then pressing Home button on iPAD.
What I believe he is looking for is the ability to take a screenshot and capture it into a container field, which he can then send as part of a "bug report" from FMGO.
Unfortunately, the action of capturing a screenshot can not be scripted in GO as far as I know, so I don't see how this type of bug report is possible.
Make sure you bookmark the filemaker GO 12 development guide:
You got my point that what I am actually looking for.
As it's something that is not seeming possible, I think I should go for the inbuilt one in iOS.
