Phantom External Data Source

Greetings fellow developers...

We're running a small Mac-based LAN with FMS 11 and all cleints are FMP(A)11 with all Macs running either OS 10.6 or 10.7.

On the client systems we have one file with a mysterious "empty" external data source (see attachment)

The phantom data source only shows up on the client systems. When we stop serving the file and open it up direclty with a client version of FMP on the server itself, only the valid data source ("Developer Pool") appears and there is no second "phantom" source shown. While that phantom line sorts properly as you click the column headers, it cannot be deleted or edited. Adding a new data source and then deleting it has no effect on the phantom line. I have not tried to Recover the file yet, especially since the external data source list looks fine on the home server. Only on the client computers does that phantom line show up. It just started this afternoon when I temporarily created a second data source and then deleted it, leaving an empty phantom line in its place.

What on earth is THAT?!

Thanks for considering.
