Can you create the calculation through PHP? That would be 'unstored' and definitely faster than from the database.

If the values are not constantly changing, create fields to store the caculated values and run a scheduled script on FMS, every 60 min say, to store the values.
A key point with WP, expecially if you want scaelabaility on the web side, is not to Make FM do things it does not naturally do fast. Displayng mutiple records with calcuations based on related tables is one of those things. However running FMS simple calculations are usually fast enough. Also avoid protals sorted by unindexable fields.
Dipslaying single records with slow caclulations can be an issue if the web user volume is high.
Good point, even I thought of doing so but i am no sure if that would increase the speed because the calulations involves addressing the child records and calculating sum for the same.

I can not run the FMS script as the calculations needs to be constantly changings because it is an online booking system.
