Yes... Dates are problematic - mostly for those of us who don't use US dates.
The other problem with Scripts triggered from PHP is that your parameters need to include info for locating the right record.

Yes the non-American date handling seems random in parts.
The other feature that I would really like with time is to be able to set the field as regular-time (e.g. for a stopwatch) or day time (e.g. AM/PM). Then I wouldn't have to put effort into calcuations for value lists, or PHP, to make day-time nice and readable.
