Runtime applications don’t support … the Execute SQL script step.
Please tell me this is not the case.
perhaps you are mixing up the script step SQLQuery (which does not work in runtimes) and the FM 12 based new function ExcecuteSQLQuery ... the script step wasn´t usable in runtimes before
You could use a plugin, e.g. our MBS Plugin.
Has also the advantage that the plugin can give back error message which helps finding syntax errors.
And plugin can do SQL queries to modify database.
Thanks, Christian. Do plug-ins now work in FileMaker Go?
I certainly hope so, Martin, but the documentation on FMPA 13 changes clearly states "Execute SQL script step". (e.g. Appendix A page 38 of the FileMaker Pro 13 Advanced Features Guide.)
it wasn´t any different in FM10 for example either
Sorry, no plugins on iOS.
Only on Pro, Runtime and Server. And of course the new webdirect.
You are right. I was confusing the script step with the function ExecuteSQL(). Thank you, Martin!

Oh, but now we do have plugins on iOS, as long as you are connected to FMS. The new Perform Script on Server script step can use plugins on the server and return the necessary result...
I recall hearing that you can run Plugins with FMGo13 by using PerfromScript on Server function. I have not tried yet though. Someone else did mention that it worked though.
