Have you tried hiding all the toolbars with the file open locally, before putting it on the server?
I've notice this too. I would submit to Filemaker as a bug/feature request.
Iv've just checked : there is allready a post from today in the issue/request forum on filemaker.com
Meanwhile, I will try David Zakary 's method,... who knows.
Yes, sorry pre-empted you. I posted it to support. Didn't realize those requests were public now, just trying to make sure it gets up the ladder.
What I was able to do is :
1 - opening the file locally (on my desktop)
2 - checking the toolbar is off
3 - closing the file
4 - uploading it to the server
I must admit I was quite suspicious about the effectiveness of such an action.
I've used to do this to pre-set global field values, but for a toolbar status,...
But since I've this done I don't see anymore the toolbar at the beginning of connection !
To be sure I will make monday some other test on different browers and connections configuration to be sure it is not a matter of cache or somelike.
Thank you for your help
Remember that unless you explicitly set things FileMaker will remember the state set when the file was last opened/closed locally.
I've made some tests later and unfornately the toolbar still appears shortly at the beginning.
So I guess only Filemaker Inc can solve this bug.
Hello everyone! Thank you for bringing this up, I am experiencing the same. It is always visible for a second. Besides the sloppy look of that happening I am concerned with the fact that during that 1 second the user can actually interact with it.
