Sounds like ODBC connections might be your best bet. Reference the FMP11 ODBC/JDBC document on FileMaker's web site.
Thanks for the prompt reply.
But I need to activate a FM script on specficaly given time to activate data exporting from FM to SQL.
If you can give me a example would be better. Then I can try rest to link with SQL
See if the database backend is compatible with FileMaker's ESS feature. if it is you can use FM scripts to move data around. And you can use a script schedule on FileMaker Server to run them on a schedule.
If ESS is not an option then FM can import from an ODBC source and use the ExecuteSQL script step to push data to an ODBC target.
Either way you will need to set up a DSN using the proper ODBC driver for whatever database back-end you want to connect to
Thanks so much Wim for your inputs
I just wants to know a little thing, how can I terigger a event(Script Cmmands) in FM to activate on a specific time given
FileMaker Server has a "Schedules" section where you can set up scripts to run at a certain time.
If you do not have FileMaker Server then I would honestly not attempt this. There is an OnTimer event that you can attach to a window if you want to explore that route.
