I have 2 tables (trans_table and tin_ein_table) that are joined by social security numbers. In the main layout of "trans_table", I have it setup so that when a user types in a social security # of an exisiting customer, it pulls in the corresponding name for that customer (from the _tin_ein_table). Through the join "relationship options", I have it set to "allow creation of records in this table via this relationship" on the tin_ein_table side. I did this so that when a user types in a new social security # in the trans_table, (one that DOES NOT exist in the tin_ein_table), it will create it in the in the tin_ein_table. Even though I have this relationship option set, it doesn't work. Any ideas?
You need to type in any field of tin_ein_table on the layout to create record in it.
