Any idea when appear FM13 v2?
You'll know when we know.
12.0v2 was released 7/2012, and 12.0v1 was released 4/2012. If you want to speculate with that gap (4 months), then we should be due for an update next month in March.
Of course most of us get notified when the release is announced, not in advance.
Let's hope It is closer to the beginning of March instead of the end. I really like fm 13 but there are to many annoying bugs that need to be fix.
Let's wish they ship a significant one, which all the show stopping bugs sorted out, like the XML/XLST issue on FMS 13.
For 12 the first correcting release wasn't so much correcting.
Also, let's hope for speed optimization (but I don't hold my breath upon that unfortunately).
I'd rather wait a bit more than having a half assed release
Yet it starts to be a very long time...
I'm waiting for v2 before going 13
Personally, I think FM13 has been a very good initial release compared to the first iteration of FM12. FM12 v1 was not really usable because of significant performance issues. We're doing quite well with FM13 thus far. There are bugs, but not show stoppers. I'm confident V2 will bring many bug fixes and general improvements.
Well your millage may vary. Serverside import / export issue with XML and xslt, is a show stopper to me.
Ok that a FMS bug
You need to learn to be patient. I guess they didn't want to release on April fools. Still nothing on server, but that should be coming out soon enough.

I also got my email on this from FMI this morning, but, curiously, when I did "check for updates" in FMP13Adv, it found nothing still this afternoon. It was available from the FMI website.
Mayby they were doing us a favor of letting notified Technet members know to go get it before everyone's software started checking for it by default?
I also noticed that the Mac updater package was put together a week ago, but I don't begrudge them taking a week to test it thoroughly before letting it loose into the world.
too early :-|
The FMP Help > Check for Updates returns 13v2 available.
Would you like to go to the updater page - yes
No v2 on the linked page.
The FMI downloads section of their website has the links to new updaters at:
none of the product/version/download/Release notes link to anything
Maybe I'm have repeated blind spots
The link Mike posted has the downloads, but not the page teh FMP update check points to.
This page shows it, as version 13.0v2 for both Pro and Advanced, at:
If it's not showing at that link, your computer may have cached an old version of that page, use the page-refresh on the browser to update the cache.
reset Safari, emptied cache, and removed all website data, quit and restarted Safari ( 7.0.3)
Hmm... Try this page instead:
Your screen shot is missing the the first entire section of the page I get when loading that URL. The new link above is for viewing more details, which includes the download links for both Mac and Windows.
Curious about the browser version you have, if it's not supporting something in the site...
<<Your screen shot is missing the the first entire section of the page I get when loading that URL>>
That is what I assumed.
Yes I can get at the download from the link you provided, but the point is that the relavant content to link to the actual download page , is not appearing in the first page loaded from the FileMaker > Help > Check for Updates
The browser version is whatever the last Apple update applied (April 2), and current.
SO general users, and clients, will presumably not be finding the download, and not a good impression.
Assuming it is something more generalised rather than something specifically quirky to my local system.
I think the quirk is in your local setup.
I have no problem seeing the page with all the downloadable software update links on my OSX Mavericks with that April 2 Safari update.
Unfortunately, I have no clue what might be the culprit as I cannot reproduce your error with the same OS and Safari revs installed.
Cookies is set to block to block 3rd parties, but have reset to never and makes no difference.
Will write it off as a mystery of the FM universe.
Any difference if you use the Reset Safari option in the first pulldown menu? That might clear something about your machine that the FM website is reading from saved data, allowing a page reload to pull better content.
<<reset Safari, emptied cache, and removed all website data, quit and restarted Safari ( 7.0.3)>>
and again just then
reset Safari, emptied cache, and removed all website data, quit and restarted Safari, in that order
not the browser per se, but the browser layout rendering engine (?)
Opera displays the correct link content
OmniWeb does not ( ie same as Safari)
Safari 7.0.3 Webkit
OmniWeb 5.11.2 Webkit
These render correctly
Opera 18.0 Blink
Camino 2.12 Gecko
Firefox 28.0 Gecko ( just installed to test)
Chrome 34.0 Blink ( on a different client box)
and running terminal
returns no runtime installed.
So those that are rendering the downloads page correctly, presumably have inbuilt java runtimes.
So then installed iCab 5.1.1 ( WebKit afaik) and it renders the link content; square 1ish
Glad to hear it's now working. Always nice to pursue this little things to finish the troubleshooting; there's no telling how critical the missing info might be next time if it kept failing.

I agree completely; gotta have some fun.
