I am reading a script that contains many script steps. Is there a searching capability that I can quickly look up a script step, say "show all records", instead of browsing through the entire script of say 200 script steps.
Sad to say there is no native mechanism to do what you ask, but …
I purchased this tool to do this job. It’s a HUGE time-saver …
And it’s very reasonably priced. Works like a champ!

Thanks for taking time to answer. and thanks for the recommended utilities. An alternative is to use DDR but I envisage that it is going to be fairly inconvenient to do especially when you are in debugging mode and you need 'immediate' answer.
You could also print the script to a pdf file and search that.
With the Developer Assistant I can search for a variable, script step name, etc., and when found, make an immediate change to the step. Then I can click “Find” again to quickly locate to the next occurrence of the search string…
Lather, rinse, repeat … Very efficient. So much faster than referring to a PDF that so quickly becomes outdated as I make other changes to a script. I think this tool paid for itself within a couple of hours of use …
Oh, and you can search for fields or tables, etc. while in “Manage Database” mode and do several other cool and productive things with this tool.
