Popover size on 21.5 vs 17 inch Displays

    JFWX5

      Hi,

We have users with both 21.5 (1920*1080) and 17 (1280*1024) inch dispays.

How do I get the popover to display properly for both screen sizes?

Can a Popover be a object and set by resizing a new windows?

      Thanks,

      John

You could have two popovers, one for small and one for large window sizes.  You can test the window size ( Get ( WindowContentWidth ) and Get ( WindowContentHeighth ) to see if the current window is wider than a particular popover and if so, hide the smaller or larger one depending on the current window size.  So two popovers exactly on top of each other and Hide the one that is not appropriate to pop up based on window size.

            Hi,

Thanks for that hint.  I seem to have more of a problem with this.  I have seven users and that all zoom their screen to varying levels.

I know that increasing or decreasing the zoom will effect how the popover displays on the screen.  It seems that 200 properly displays

on everones screen.  The problem now is if I set the popover to 200, when it is closed the main screen stays at 200.

In order not to have the user always adjusting the screen zoom each time the popover is closed, how do I use the

Get(WindowZoomLevel)  to record the current zoom level before the popover is oppened, so the closeing script is can adjust

back to that level when the popover is closed?

            Thanks,

I would try storing the zoom level in a global variable (i.e. $$zoom) so it's ready to be used when closing the popover. Use a scripted button to close to popover, and at the end of that script have a series of If/Else If tests which each set the zoom level to a different level, after testing if $$zoom matches the current zoom level.

                Taylor & Stephen,

                Great, just what I needed.

                Thanks All,

I should clarify my previous answer regarding the resetting of the zoom level. Your final If/Else If tests should be more in the form of:

                  If ($$zoom = "400")

                       Set Zoom Level {400]

                  Else If ($$zoom = "300")

                       Set Zoom Level [300]

                  ... etc.
