Why are you committing a record on enter? And what are you trying to acconplish here? It's not clear, sorry.
Not sure why you feel you need to committ the record when you enter a field in the portal row, but doing so can mess things up like goto related record.
To get the record ID you can have the OnObjectEnter script put the ID into a global variable before it does the committ. This will ensure that you have the correct ID. Then if you do a Goto related record to try and delete the record, you can check the ID first and find it if you are on the wrong record.
Sorry I have a hard time explaining... But ill try again:
The onobjectenter script commits the data, so that the portal is not selected (dark grey) when someone clicks somewhere on it. So its that the portal looks nice and changed data will take effect.
Now in the portal I have a delete button, it takes the 2 keys (portal and current record), then it goes searches for the joined record and deletes it.
Because of the onobjectenter commit script the portal key result is false.
So my question is how I can trick the script so the commit doesnt appear before anything else happens.
Why not answer the question?
What are you trying to accomplish?
I am pretty sure I did write what I want to accoplish...
Having a workaraound the onobjectenter script so my keys are right!
But thanks to Bruce it worked! I just made the Global Varible before the commit record step!
Thanks for trying to understand me and trying to help/helping!
