Classic, but new: FMS admin console "unable to launch"

    l_allen_poole

After a hardware crash a few weeks ago, now the server admin console won't launch on the server machine and it also won't connect from another machine on the LAN.

      The error report reads:

CouldNotLoadArgumentException[ Could not load file/URL specified: http://localhost:16000/admin_console_webstart.jnlp]

      at com.sun.javaws.Main.launchApp(Main.java:376)

      at com.sun.javaws.Main.continueInSecureThread(Main.java:292)

      at com.sun.javaws.Main$1.run(Main.java:125)

      at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:695)

This is FMS 11 on Mac OS 10.6.8

I've upgraded to the latest version of Java for this OS, and also upgraded to FMS 11 v. 5, and rebooted a few times.

These two upgrades *changed* the error messages I get when trying to start the server admin console, but didn't change the fact that it won't start.

FMS otherwise is running OK: clients can connect from LAN and WAN and the command line fmsadmin utility can start/stop the server, verify the DBs, etc.

My client (customer) would really like to use the admin console, though.. he's not comfortable writing shell commands. Does the error message above suggest a solution to anyone here? Detailed error report follows below. Thank you.
