Thanks in advance for any help:
I have a CRM where tasks are assigned to each employee by day, type (call, meeting, to do), project and priority.
The task table (large and getting larger) contains the basic task/date/time, and is related to the person table, project table and type tables by normalized join tables.
I need to build an easy to use dashboard for employees to see "today, overdue, project tasks, future tasks" by query.
I've read worrisome statements about speed when using summary tables.
What is the fastest results way to structure this?
X join all tasks, then filter sub-joins by the above?
