I am going crazy I hae additional space above subsummaries in a report which I can't get rid of - ideas? See the last two layouts.....
If by "extra space", you mean the page break, it's a quirk of how FileMaker processes layout parts. If a single Body part with all preceding parts will not fit on a page at full size, then FileMaker automatically pushes it to the next page. You'll need to reduce the size of the various parts (header, title header, and / or body) so that it will fit on a page. Use the page break indicators to assist.
IS that the space which is appearing above the sub summary - seems a bit odd?

"Also resize enclosing part" may help. Try this on some/all of the layout items.
Not exactly sure what you are referring to but here are a couple of observations. Headers and Title Header will never reduce in size. They are fixed in size. So if you are referring to the amount of space on page 1 of the Meeting Report final layout, the reason for the space is the large size of the Title Header. You Title Header bottom is 430 pts so the sub-summary will never slide above this point. On Layout #12 you have a body but nothing in the body. You do not need a body in the report to be able to print the print.
Many thanks- it is looking much better
Gina, has your question been answered and if yes, what did you do to fix the problem?
By a variety of means – mainly my reducing the size of the title header, resetting the sliding and changing some of the sizes of objects within it.
