Does Trend AV come with its own firewall? If so, in fiddling with it, could it have been turned on?
Did disabling Trend Micro allow you to get to the admin console?
What you're describing sounds like a firewall issue. The 2 primary places I'd be looking are:
• did the Windows Firewall get turned on once Trend Micro was suspended?
• are all Trend Micro modules really suspended or did the IT guy just suspend anti-virus leaving its firewall in place?

Based on another thread (
https://fmdev.filemaker.com/message/147154#147154) I uninstalled FM13 and reinstalled. That seems to have taken care of it. I can now access the FMS Admin Console. Trend Micro was a red herring, so apologies to that company.
